Indications
Algidol is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, muscle pain, menstrual pain, and toothache. It is also used to reduce fever in cases of feverish states and in inflammatory processes such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The anti-inflammatory action of ibuprofen makes it a useful medication in situations where control of inflammation and associated pain is required.
Composition
Each capsule contains:
Ibuprofen 600 mg
Excipients: starch, gelatin, colorants, among others.
Contraindications
Algidol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal failure, severe hepatic failure, or in the third trimester of pregnancy. It should also be avoided in patients who experience asthma induced by acetylsalicylic acid or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Precautions
Algidol is recommended for use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal problems, heart disease, hypertension, or in those undergoing treatment with anticoagulants. The dose should be adjusted in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. It is important to assess the risk of adverse effects in elderly patients, who may be more susceptible to the side effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
