Indications
Algidol is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, including headache, muscle pain, dental pain, dysmenorrhea, and fever. It is also used in the management of inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and osteoarthritis. Ibuprofen, its active ingredient, acts as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps reduce inflammation and relieve pain, providing an analgesic and antipyretic effect.
Composition
Each Algidol capsule contains 400 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Algidol is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal or hepatic insufficiency, and in those in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Algidol to patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, heart problems, hypertension, or those taking anticoagulants. Medical monitoring is recommended in case of prolonged use of the medication. Its use in combination with other NSAIDs is not recommended. In elderly patients, dose adjustment may be necessary.
Storage
Algidol should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Keep the product in its original packaging and ensure it is well sealed.
