Indications
Aditral (Modafinil) is indicated for the treatment of narcolepsy, a sleep disorder characterized by episodes of excessive daytime sleepiness and sudden sleep attacks. It is also used in the treatment of shift work sleep disorder, to improve wakefulness in patients with obstructive sleep apnea who experience persistent daytime sleepiness. Additionally, Aditral can be used as part of a comprehensive treatment program to improve attention and performance in people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Composition
Each Aditral tablet contains 200 mg of Modafinil as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Aditral is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Modafinil or any component of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of a history of severe cardiovascular disorders or in those with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency.
Precautions
Aditral should be used with caution in patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, as the medication may exacerbate symptoms of anxiety or depression. It is also important to monitor patients with a history of substance abuse. Its use in combination with other central nervous system stimulants is not recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and out of the reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C.
