Indications

Zyter is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including but not limited to acute respiratory infections, otitis media, sinusitis, and certain skin and soft tissue infections. This medication is effective against bacteria sensitive to Azithromycin, an antibiotic belonging to the macrolide class. It is important that the use of Zyter is based on the physician's clinical evaluation and on the results of cultures and sensitivity tests, when necessary. Zyter can also be used in the treatment of sexually transmitted infections, such as non-gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis.

Composition

Each ml of Zyter contains 15 mg of Azithromycin as the active ingredient. The formulation includes excipients that facilitate the administration and stability of the medication.

Contraindications

Zyter is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any of the components of the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe liver or kidney problems, as well as in those taking medications that may interact with Azithromycin.

Precautions

Caution is advised when administering Zyter to patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias, especially if they are taking other medications that prolong the QT interval. Patients with liver or kidney diseases should be monitored, and the dose adjusted as necessary. It is essential to avoid prolonged or inappropriate use of antibiotics to prevent bacterial resistance.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
