Indications

Zypred Eye Drops are used in the treatment of various eye conditions that require the combined action of an antibiotic and a corticosteroid. It is indicated for the treatment of bacterial eye infections susceptible to gatifloxacin, as well as for the management of ocular inflammation that may accompany these infections. It is recommended for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, bacterial keratitis, and other ocular infections where the use of these substances is justified. Additionally, it is useful for reducing ocular edema and inflammation associated with allergic or traumatic conditions.

Composition

Each ml of Zypred Eye Drops contains: 3 mg gatifloxacin and 10 mg prednisolone. Excipients: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, purified water.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to gatifloxacin, prednisolone, or any other component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in untreated viral and fungal infections, as well as in cases of active ocular tuberculosis.

Precautions

Caution is advised in patients with a history of glaucoma, as prolonged use of corticosteroids may increase intraocular pressure. Likewise, care should be taken in patients with autoimmune diseases or those undergoing immunosuppressive treatment. Simultaneous use with other ophthalmic medications should be avoided, unless directed by a physician.

Storage

Store the product at room temperature, between 15°C and 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
