Indications

Zymar Xd Drops is indicated for the treatment of bacterial eye infections, specifically bacterial conjunctivitis and other superficial eye infections. Gatifloxacin, its active ingredient, works by inhibiting DNA gyrase, an essential enzyme for bacterial DNA replication, which contributes to the eradication of pathogenic bacteria. Its use is recommended in patients who present with symptoms such as eye redness, discharge, and discomfort when blinking.

Composition

Each mL of Zymar Xd Drops contains 5 mg of gatifloxacin as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to gatifloxacin or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients under one year of age.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in the use of Zymar Xd Drops in patients with a history of allergic reactions to fluoroquinolone antibiotics. Likewise, concomitant use with other ophthalmic medications is not recommended unless indicated by a healthcare professional. During treatment, patients should be warned about the possibility of adverse effects such as eye irritation, and patients should be instructed on the correct administration of the product.

Storage

Store Zymar Xd Drops at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light. Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
