Indications
Zomig (Zomitriptilan) is indicated for the acute treatment of migraine in adults. This medication acts on serotonin receptors in the brain, which helps relieve migraine symptoms, including headache, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. Zomig can be used once a migraine diagnosis has been established. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions for proper use and to determine the correct dose, which will be adjusted to the patient's individual needs.
Composition
Each Zomig tablet contains 2.5 mg of Zomitriptilan as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Zomig is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Zomitriptilan or to any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with cardiovascular diseases, such as myocardial infarction, uncontrolled angina pectoris, and in those with uncontrolled hypertension. Its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be carefully evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver or kidney disorders, as well as in those taking other medications that may interact with Zomitriptilan. It is essential to consult a doctor before starting treatment if other health problems are present or other medications are being taken.
