Indications
Zinnat is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and pneumonia. It is also used for middle ear infections (otitis media) and skin and soft tissue infections. This antibiotic is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and is commonly prescribed in cases of resistance to other antibiotics. It is important to follow medical instructions to ensure treatment effectiveness and prevent bacterial resistance.
Composition
Each 5 ml of Zinnat Suspension contains 250 mg of cefuroxime axetil, as well as excipients that promote product stability and palatability.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cefuroxime, other cephalosporin antibiotics, or any of the formula's components. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to antibiotics.
Precautions
It is recommended to evaluate renal function before starting Zinnat treatment and to adjust the dose in patients with renal insufficiency. During treatment, it is essential to monitor for adverse reactions. Special care is advised for patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, such as colitis, as antibiotic use can alter intestinal flora and result in antibiotic-associated colitis.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep in a dry place away from direct light. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
