Indications
Zinnat (cefuroxime) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to cefuroxime. These may include upper respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis and pharyngitis, as well as lower respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia. It is also used in the treatment of urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue infections. Zinnat may be suitable for the treatment of infections caused by streptococci, staphylococci, and other gram-positive and gram-negative organisms that are susceptible to this antibiotic.
Composition
Each Zinnat tablet contains 500 mg of cefuroxime axetil as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that ensure its stability and efficacy.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cefuroxime, to other cephalosporin antibiotics, or to any component of the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other antibiotics, such as penicillins.
Precautions
Renal function monitoring is recommended in patients with a history of kidney disease or those receiving other medications that may affect renal function. The possibility of cross-allergic reactions should also be considered in patients with a history of penicillin allergies. Zinnat should be used with caution in patients with ulcerative colitis or a history of antibiotic-associated colitis.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
