Indications

Yadegal is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with colds and allergies, including dry and productive cough, nasal congestion, and seasonal allergies. The combination of Dextromethorphan acts as a cough suppressant, helping to reduce throat irritation and cough frequency. Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant, facilitating the expulsion of mucus and bronchial secretions, while Chlorphenamine is an antihistamine that helps reduce allergy symptoms such as sneezing and itching. This medication is useful for alleviating discomfort during episodes of cold, flu, and other respiratory conditions.

Composition

Each 100 ml of Yadegal contains: Dextromethorphan 0.20 g, Guaifenesin 2 g, Chlorphenamine 0.03 g.

Contraindications

Yadegal is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) without medical supervision. It is also contraindicated in patients who are using monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and in those with severe liver disease.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Yadegal in patients with a history of heart disease, hypertension, or glaucoma. This medication may cause drowsiness; therefore, driving or operating heavy machinery should be avoided during treatment. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended without a doctor's evaluation.
