Indications
Visertral is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal and ocular itching, and nasal congestion. It is also effective in the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria, helping to relieve itching and skin lesions. Cetirizine acts as a selective H1 histamine receptor antagonist, reducing the allergic response in the body.
Composition
Each 100 ml of solution contains: Cetirizine 100 mg. Excipients: purified water, glycerol, citric acid, among others.
Contraindications
Visertral is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cetirizine, to other antihistamines of the same class, or to any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment and in those with a history of serious adverse reactions to antihistamines.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy or seizures, as well as in those with liver or kidney diseases. This medication may cause drowsiness; therefore, driving or operating heavy machinery should be avoided after administration. It is recommended not to combine with alcohol, as it may increase the sedative effect.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the bottle tightly closed and in a dry place, protected from direct light. Do not use the medication after the expiration date indicated on the package.
