Indications
Virazide 7.5% Cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by viruses, such as influenza virus, herpes simplex virus, and hepatitis virus. Ribavirin, its active ingredient, works by inhibiting viral replication, which helps control the infection. This cream is specifically used for skin and mucous membrane lesions and should be applied to the affected area according to the treating physician's instructions.
Composition
Each 100g of Virazide Cream contains 7.5g of ribavirin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for its proper formulation and application.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ribavirin or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women, due to possible adverse effects on the fetus or newborn.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of autoimmune diseases, as well as those with impaired liver or kidney function. It is advisable to monitor treatment response and the appearance of adverse effects, especially during prolonged treatments. It is essential to follow the doctor's instructions and not exceed the recommended dose.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
