Indications

Vigamoxi is indicated for the treatment of bacterial eye infections, including bacterial conjunctivitis and other superficial eye infections. Its antibacterial action is due to moxifloxacin's ability to inhibit bacterial DNA synthesis, resulting in the death of pathogenic bacteria. It is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as some anaerobes. This medication should be used under the supervision of a physician, who will evaluate the need for treatment and its duration.

Composition

Each ml of Vigamoxi contains 5 mg of moxifloxacin (0.5%); excipients: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, purified water.

Contraindications

Vigamoxi is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin, other fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with viral or fungal eye infections.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of drug allergies, as well as those with severe eye diseases. Vigamoxi should not be used in combination with other eye drops without proper medical consultation, as there may be interactions that affect treatment efficacy. It is important to avoid contact of the dropper with contaminated surfaces to prevent product contamination.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 25 °C, protected from light and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children. Once opened, it should be used within four weeks to ensure its effectiveness.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
