Indications

Uprosol is indicated for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. Tamsulosin, its active ingredient, acts as a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist, which allows for the relaxation of smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder neck, thus facilitating urination. This medication helps to improve urinary flow and reduce the need to urinate frequently, especially at night. It is important to note that the use of Uprosol should be part of a comprehensive approach to BPH management, which includes continuous patient evaluation and symptom monitoring.

Composition

Each Uprosol capsule contains 0.4 mg of tamsulosin as hydrochloride. It also contains excipients such as: gelatin, colorants, among others, that enable the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Uprosol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tamsulosin or any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions, such as angioedema, and in those with severe hepatic insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of orthostatic hypotension, as well as in those suffering from cardiovascular diseases. It is important for patients to inform their doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions or the use of other medications that may interact with tamsulosin. Additionally, care should be taken when initiating treatment in patients over 65 years of age.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
