Indications
Ulsen (omeprazole) is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excess stomach acid. Among the most common indications are:
- Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
- Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers.
- Prevention of ulcers induced by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
- Eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics.
Omeprazole acts by inhibiting gastric acid secretion, which helps reduce stomach acidity and facilitate the healing of lesions in the gastric and esophageal mucosa.
Composition
Each capsule contains 40 mg of omeprazole as the active ingredient. Excipients: sugar, starch, gelatin and others.
Contraindications
Ulsen is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to omeprazole or any of the excipients in the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe liver disease.
Precautions
Ulsen should be used with caution in patients with liver disorders, as the drug is metabolized in the liver. Likewise, care should be taken with prolonged use of the medication, as it may increase the risk of bone fractures and vitamin B12 deficiencies.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
