Indications

Triyotex is indicated in the treatment of hypothyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormones. It is also used in the treatment of certain forms of goiter, as well as in the management of some types of thyroid cancer. Liothyronine, the active ingredient in Triyotex, is a synthetic form of the thyroxine hormone that helps regulate metabolism, growth, and body development. Its use can be essential for patients who require precise adjustment in thyroid hormone therapy, especially in those who do not respond adequately to levothyroxine alone.

Composition

Each Triyotex capsule contains 75 mcg of liothyronine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Triyotex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to liothyronine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in cases of acute heart disease, untreated myocardial infarction, and in conditions that may be aggravated by an increase in metabolic activity, such as uncontrolled hyperthyroidism.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and intestinal absorption problems.
