Indications

Trixona IM (Ceftriaxone) is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including, but not limited to:

  • Lower respiratory tract infections, including bacterial pneumonia.
  • Urinary tract infections.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Complicated intra-abdominal infections.
  • Bone and joint infections.
  • Sepsis.
  • Bacterial meningitis.

Ceftriaxone is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, thereby providing a bactericidal effect.

Composition

Each vial contains:

  • Ceftriaxone: 1 g
  • Excipients: q.s.

Contraindications

Trixona IM is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ceftriaxone or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in neonates requiring treatment with calcium-containing solutions.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of allergies to beta-lactam antibiotics. Renal function monitoring is also recommended in patients with renal impairment or those receiving high doses of the medication. The administration of ceftriaxone may alter the results of some laboratory tests, so healthcare personnel should be informed of its use.

Storage

Store at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
