Indications
Tritace (Ramipril) is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults. Blood pressure reduction contributes to lowering the risk of cardiovascular events, including myocardial infarction and stroke. Furthermore, it can be used in patients with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction, as well as in the prevention of complications in patients with diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease. Ramipril use is also indicated in the treatment of heart failure after myocardial infarction, to improve patient survival and quality of life.
Composition
Each Tritace tablet contains 10 mg of Ramipril as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose monohydrate, corn starch, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ramipril or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema associated with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor treatment, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Precautions should be taken in patients with renal artery stenosis, renal insufficiency, or those undergoing diuretic treatment. It is recommended to monitor renal function and blood potassium levels. Likewise, care should be taken in patients with a history of allergic reactions. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding dosage and treatment monitoring.
