Indications
Transilax Gel is indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation and bowel evacuation in patients requiring stool softening. It can also be used in the management of patients with conditions requiring softer bowel movements, such as in certain gastrointestinal disorders. This product combines lactulose, a disaccharide that acts as an osmotic laxative, and paraffins that help lubricate and facilitate evacuation. It is important to follow the instructions of a healthcare professional to determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment.
Composition
Each 100 g of Transilax Gel contains: 35 g of Lactulose, 42.91 g of White Paraffin, and 21.45 g of Liquid Paraffin.
Contraindications
Transilax Gel is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, or active inflammatory bowel disease. Likewise, it should be avoided in patients with galactosemia and in those with abdominal pain of unknown origin.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases or those undergoing treatment with medications that may alter intestinal function. It is advisable to evaluate its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in elderly patients or those with chronic diseases. The dose should be adjusted according to the patient's response and under medical supervision.
