Indications

Trankitec (Magnesium Valproate) is indicated for the treatment of convulsive disorders, such as epilepsy and epileptic seizures. It is also used in the management of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder and for migraine prophylaxis. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of behavioral disorders in patients with psychiatric and neurological diseases.

Composition

Each Trankitec tablet contains: Magnesium Valproate 200 mg.

Contraindications

Trankitec is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to valproate, as well as in those with urea cycle disorders, severe liver disease, and acute pancreatitis. It should not be administered to pregnant women unless the benefit outweighs the potential risk.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Trankitec to patients with a history of liver disease, hematological disorders, or metabolic diseases. Monitoring of liver function and hematological parameters is recommended during treatment. The possibility of side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, and gastrointestinal problems should also be considered. Alcohol consumption during treatment is advised against.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
