Indications

Tobramycin/Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Drops are indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory conditions of the eye that may be accompanied by bacterial infection. It is particularly useful in cases of allergic conjunctivitis and other inflammatory conditions where combined antibiotic and anti-inflammatory treatment is required. Its use is indicated in patients presenting with symptoms such as ocular redness, itching, and ocular discharge that may result from ocular infections or inflammation. Its action is based on the effect of tobramycin, an antibiotic that combats bacteria, and dexamethasone, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and alleviates symptoms associated with these conditions.

Composition

Each ml of Tobramycin/Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Drops contains: Tobramycin 0.3% and Dexamethasone 0.1% as active ingredients, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the ophthalmic solution.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tobramycin, dexamethasone, or any component of the formula. It should not be used in viral, fungal, or tuberculous eye infections. Likewise, it should be avoided in patients with glaucoma or ocular herpes simplex, unless indicated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of serious eye diseases and in those undergoing treatment with other ophthalmic medications. Regular medical follow-up is important to prevent the development of complications, especially with prolonged treatments. Its use must be evaluated and supervised by a healthcare professional.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
