Indications

Tirevin is indicated for the prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in adults. It is also indicated for the prevention of thromboembolic events in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, as well as for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis in patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery. Additionally, Tirevin can be used in the prevention of thromboembolic complications in patients with peripheral arterial disease.

Composition

Each tablet contains 20 mg of rivaroxaban as active ingredient. Excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Tirevin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rivaroxaban or any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered to patients with significant active bleeding, severe bleeding disorders, or severe hepatic impairment. Its use is also contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as in patients requiring concomitant treatment with certain medications that may increase the risk of bleeding.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients at risk of bleeding, as well as in those with moderate renal impairment. Regular monitoring of renal function and dose adjustment as needed are recommended. Furthermore, the risk-benefit ratio should be carefully evaluated in patients over 75 years of age or those with multiple comorbidities.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
