Indications
Tirevin (Rivaroxaban) is indicated for the prevention of venous thromboembolic events in patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery. It is also used for the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in adults. Additionally, Tirevin is indicated for the prevention of stroke and thromboembolic events in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, as well as for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Rivaroxaban 15 mg as active ingredient. Excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
It should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to rivaroxaban or any of the excipients. It is contraindicated in patients with significant active bleeding, a history of intracranial hemorrhage, and in medical conditions where the risk of bleeding is increased. Its use is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment (Glomerular Filtration Rate < 15 ml/min) and in patients requiring concomitant treatment with certain potent CYP3A4 inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of peptic ulcer, uncontrolled hypertension, or those receiving concomitant anticoagulant treatment. Regular monitoring of renal and hepatic function is important in patients receiving long-term treatment with Tirevin. Dose adjustment is recommended in patients with moderate renal impairment.
Storage
Store in its original packaging, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
