Indications
Timic is indicated for the treatment of painful neuropathy, including diabetic neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia. It is also used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial seizures in patients with epilepsy. Gabapentin acts by modulating the release of excitatory neurotransmitters and decreasing neuronal excitability, which helps to relieve neuropathic pain and control seizures.
Composition
Each Timic capsule contains 300 mg of gabapentin as an active ingredient. Excipients include: corn starch, gelatin, titanium dioxide, among others.
Contraindications
Timic is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to gabapentin or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency without medical supervision due to the risk of drug accumulation.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of depression, mood disorders, or those who are taking other medications that may affect the central nervous system. It is important to inform the doctor about any other medication the patient is using to avoid interactions. Gabapentin can cause drowsiness and dizziness, so driving or performing activities that require attention should be avoided until the patient's reaction to the treatment is known.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
