Indications

Tevardis is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. Lercanidipine acts as a calcium channel blocker, helping to reduce blood pressure by relaxing and dilating blood vessels. This medication is used as part of a comprehensive approach that may include lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise, to achieve better management of hypertension.

Composition

Each Tevardis tablet contains 10 mg of lercanidipine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

Tevardis is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lercanidipine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with congestive heart failure, during pregnancy and lactation, or in those with severe hypotension.

Precautions

Caution is recommended when administering Tevardis to patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as those with a history of cardiovascular diseases. Blood pressure and heart rate should be monitored periodically during treatment. Grapefruit juice consumption should be avoided, as it can increase the concentration of the medication in the blood.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
