Indications

Terfamex is indicated as an adjunct in the treatment of obesity in patients whose weight reduction is considered medically necessary. This medication acts as an appetite suppressant, helping patients control food intake and, consequently, reduce body weight. Its use must be accompanied by an adequate diet and a regular physical exercise program. It is important that treatment with Terfamex be supervised by a healthcare professional and that the response to treatment and the need to continue it be periodically evaluated.

Composition

Each capsule contains 15 mg of Phentermine in base salt form. Other inactive components may include excipients such as gelatin, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Terfamex is contraindicated in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled hypertension, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, or in those who have shown hypersensitivity to Phentermine or any of the excipients of the formulation. It should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of substance abuse, as well as in those with a history of depression or psychiatric disorders. Terfamex should be used with caution in patients over 65 years of age and in those with pulmonary or kidney diseases.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
