Indications
Tecta is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excessive gastric acid production. It is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where esophageal inflammation occurs due to the reflux of gastric contents. It is also indicated for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics. Additionally, it is used in the prevention of gastric ulcers associated with prolonged use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Composition
Each Tecta tablet contains 40 mg of pantoprazole as the active ingredient. It also includes excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, and other components that allow for tablet formulation.
Contraindications
Tecta is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole or any other component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe hepatic insufficiency or in patients with a history of severe adverse reactions to proton pump inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Tecta to patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases. Adequate monitoring is important in patients requiring prolonged treatment. Diagnostic tests may be necessary to rule out the presence of cancer in patients with related symptoms before initiating treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
