Indications
Tarterlit is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding episodes, especially in patients with hepatic cirrhosis and portal hypertension. It is also used in the therapy of severe liver diseases, where reduction of portal pressure and prevention of associated complications are required. Terlipressin acts as a selective vasoconstrictor, improving renal perfusion and increasing blood flow to vital organs, thus reducing the risk of organ damage in emergency situations. Its use must be supervised by a healthcare professional to ensure monitoring of therapeutic effects and potential adverse reactions.
Composition
Each vial of Tarterlit contains 1 mg of terlipressin and excipients necessary for its proper formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to terlipressin or any of the excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe cardiovascular disease, severe renal insufficiency, or during pregnancy and lactation, unless strictly deemed necessary by the treating physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, as terlipressin can induce significant hemodynamic effects. Clinical monitoring is essential to detect possible adverse effects and adjust the dose as needed. Special monitoring is recommended in elderly patients and those with impaired renal function.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light. Keep the product out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
