Indications

Tarmin (Loperamide) is indicated for the treatment of acute diarrhea, whether infectious or not, as well as for the management of chronic diarrhea associated with diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. This medication works by reducing the number of bowel movements and improving stool consistency by decreasing intestinal motility. It can also be useful in the treatment of traveler's diarrhea.

Composition

Each Tarmin tablet contains 2 mg of Loperamide. As excipients, it contains lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, and talc.

Contraindications

Tarmin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Loperamide or any component of the formula. Likewise, it should not be used in cases of bacterial diarrhea caused by pathogenic organisms that produce toxins, pseudomembranous colitis, and in patients with rectal bleeding or high fever.

Precautions

Caution is recommended when using Tarmin in patients with hepatic insufficiency, as the metabolism of the drug may be altered. Additionally, care should be taken when used in children under 12 years of age and in patients with a history of drug abuse. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended.

Storage

Store Tarmin at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
