Indications

Tamex is indicated for the treatment of allergic conditions such as seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as in the management of symptoms associated with chronic idiopathic urticaria. Additionally, it is used in inflammatory processes that require the use of a corticosteroid to reduce inflammation and relieve symptoms. Due to its composition, Tamex combines the antihistaminic properties of loratadine, which helps relieve allergy symptoms, with the anti-inflammatory properties of betamethasone, providing a dual approach in the management of allergic and inflammatory symptoms.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Loratadine 5 mg and Betamethasone 0.25 mg.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with systemic fungal infections, active tuberculosis, and those receiving treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 2 weeks after their discontinuation.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those with a history of peptic ulcers or bleeding disorders. The administration of this medication must be supervised by a physician in patients with diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, or viral infections. It is recommended to evaluate the risk-benefit ratio in the prolonged use of corticosteroids.
