Indications
Sucralfate is indicated in the treatment and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as in reflux esophagitis. Its mechanism of action is based on the formation of a protective barrier over the gastric mucosa, thus promoting the healing of lesions. Additionally, it is used in the management of gastritis and as an adjunct in Helicobacter pylori eradication therapies. It is important for the patient to follow the doctor's instructions to optimize treatment results and avoid complications.
Composition
Each tablet contains 1 g of sucralfate as an active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its presentation and administration.
Contraindications
The use of Sucralfate is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sucralfate or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency, as it may increase the risk of toxicity.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of intestinal obstruction and those with conditions that may alter gastrointestinal motility. Likewise, patients undergoing concomitant treatment with other medications should be monitored, as sucralfate may interfere with the absorption of certain drugs if administered simultaneously. It is recommended to space the administration of other medications at least 2 hours before or after taking sucralfate.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
