Indications

Somatixel (Docetaxel) is indicated for the treatment of certain types of cancer, including:

  • Metastatic breast cancer in patients who have received prior therapy.
  • Advanced non-small cell lung cancer.
  • Castration-resistant prostate cancer, in combination with other agents.
  • Head and neck cancer.

This medication works by interfering with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body.

Composition

Each Somatixel ampule contains:

  • Docetaxel: 20 mg
  • Excipients: water for injection, citric acid, among others.

Contraindications

Somatixel is contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Patients with known hypersensitivity to docetaxel or any of the excipients.
  • Patients with a history of severe neutropenia.
  • During pregnancy and lactation, unless otherwise indicated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in the following cases:

  • Patients with severe liver or kidney disease.
  • Patients receiving concomitant therapy with other medications that may affect bone marrow.
  • Monitoring of hematological function before and during treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
