Indications

Solidenat is indicated for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, as well as for the prevention of fractures in patients at high risk of osteoporotic complications. It is also used in the treatment of hypocalcemia, improving calcium absorption in the body. The combination of ibandronic acid and cholecalciferol enhances treatment efficacy, as ibandronic acid acts on bone metabolism and cholecalciferol helps maintain adequate vitamin D levels, essential for bone health.

Composition

Each Solidenat tablet contains: 150 mg of ibandronic acid and 24,000 IU of cholecalciferol.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with esophageal diseases that may delay the passage of the medication to the stomach. Its use is not recommended in patients with uncorrected hypocalcemia and in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders, and in those with renal insufficiency, as the elimination of ibandronic acid may be affected. Regular medical monitoring is essential during treatment to evaluate the response and detect possible adverse effects.

Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
