Indications
Sinpebac Ointment is indicated for the treatment of superficial skin infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to mupirocin. It is effective in the treatment of impetigo, folliculitis, and other local bacterial infections. This medication works by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, which results in the elimination of the infection. It is important to use it only on the skin and not on mucous membranes, unless medically indicated. It is recommended to apply a thin layer to the affected area, 2 to 3 times a day, as directed by a doctor.
Composition
Each g of ointment contains: Mupirocin 20 mg. Excipients: Petrolatum, lanolin, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mupirocin or any of the components of the formula. It should not be applied to open wounds or extensive burns. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when used in patients with a history of skin allergies. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. It should not be used for fungal or viral infections, as this medication is specific for bacterial infections. If no improvement is observed after several days of treatment, a doctor should be consulted to re-evaluate the situation.

Store at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
