Indications
Sinergix is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain, as well as for the management of postoperative pain. This medication combines two analgesic agents: Tramadol, an opioid that acts on the central nervous system, and Ketorolac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and pain. Its use may be beneficial in conditions such as postsurgical pain, cancer pain, and musculoskeletal pain. Its use is recommended under strict medical supervision, given its potential for dependence and adverse effects.
Composition
Each Sinergix capsule contains: 25 mg of Tramadol and 10 mg of Ketorolac.
Contraindications
Sinergix is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components, a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal failure, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Its use is also contraindicated in patients who are receiving other opioids or NSAIDs due to the increased risk of adverse effects.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of substance abuse, respiratory depression, epilepsy, or predisposition to seizures. Dose adjustment is recommended in elderly patients or those with compromised renal function. Furthermore, alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment with Sinergix, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects and overdose.
Storage
Store in a dry, cool place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
