Indications

Siltafel (Propofol) is indicated for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia in surgical and diagnostic procedures. It is also used for sedation in patients requiring mechanical ventilation in intensive care units. This medication is effective due to its rapid action and short duration, which allows for precise control of the depth of anesthesia, facilitating patient recovery after the procedure.

Composition

Each ampoule of Siltafel contains 200 mg of Propofol in 20 ml of solution, in addition to excipients that ensure the stability and solubility of the product.

Contraindications

The use of Siltafel is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Propofol or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to individuals with a history of severe cardiovascular problems or those presenting severe respiratory depression. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in patients with metabolic disorders affecting lipid metabolism.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Siltafel in patients with heart disease, respiratory problems, epilepsy, or those taking medications that may interact with anesthetics. It is important to perform a pre-anesthetic evaluation of the patient to determine the appropriate dose and to monitor during the procedure. Additionally, preparations should be made for the management of potential adverse effects that may arise during its administration.

Storage

Store at room temperature, protected from light and in a dry place. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package. Keep out of reach of children.
