Indications

Setrontec (Ondansetron) is indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with cytotoxic chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery. It is effective in controlling postoperative nausea and vomiting and is used in patients receiving treatment with drugs that cause severe nausea. It can also be used in cases of nausea and vomiting induced by other factors, under medical supervision.

Composition

Each Setrontec ampoule contains 8 mg of Ondansetron as the active ingredient. Excipients are: hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride, water for injection, and other components that allow for the proper formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

Setrontec is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ondansetron or any of the excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias or QT interval prolongation, or in those with severe dehydration.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Setrontec in patients with conditions that may predispose to QT interval prolongation, as well as in patients with hepatic insufficiency. It is recommended to monitor patients who are receiving medications that may interact with Ondansetron and adjust the dose if necessary. Medical follow-up during treatment is important.

Storage

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep in its original packaging and protect from light. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
