Indications

Serenata is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and social anxiety disorder (social phobia). Sertraline acts as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, which helps improve mood and reduce anxiety. Its use may also be beneficial in the treatment of panic disorders and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. It is important that treatment is supervised by a healthcare professional to determine the appropriate dosage and duration.

Composition

Each Serenata tablet contains 50 mg of sertraline as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

Serenata is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sertraline or to any of the excipients of the product. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of discontinuing treatment with these medications. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of mania or manic episodes.

Precautions

The risk of suicide should be carefully evaluated, especially in young patients. It is important to monitor patients during the initiation of treatment and during dose changes. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizure disorders, as well as those with liver or kidney disease. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be discussed with the treating physician.
