Indications
Rosanil (Nitazoxanide) is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by parasites and protozoa, including but not limited to giardiasis, amebiasis, and Cryptosporidium infection. This medication works by interfering with the metabolism of microorganisms, leading to their death. It is important that Rosanil is used under medical supervision, ensuring it is administered at the correct doses and for the appropriate duration to maximize treatment efficacy and minimize the risk of resistance.
Composition
Each Rosanil tablet contains 500 mg of Nitazoxanide as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the drug's formulation.
Contraindications
Rosanil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Nitazoxanide or any of the formula's components. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe liver or kidney disease, as well as in those undergoing treatment with medications that affect liver or kidney function.
Precautions
Liver and kidney function should be assessed before starting treatment with Rosanil. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with gastrointestinal diseases or those experiencing persistent symptoms. It is essential to follow medical instructions and not discontinue treatment without first consulting a doctor. During pregnancy and lactation, the use of this medication should be evaluated by a doctor, who will determine the risk-benefit ratio.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
