Indications
Riopan Gel is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with gastric hyperacidity, including gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux, and dyspepsia. This medication works by neutralizing excess stomach acid, thus relieving burning and discomfort. In addition, the dimethicone in its formulation helps reduce the formation of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract, alleviating abdominal distension and associated discomfort. It is recommended to use this medication in situations of overeating, stress, or consumption of irritating foods.
Composition
Each sachet of Riopan Gel contains: 80 mg of Magaldrate and 10 mg of Dimethicone per 1 ml.
Contraindications
Riopan Gel is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with intestinal obstruction or in those with severe renal insufficiency. Likewise, it should be avoided in patients with a history of Alzheimer's disease, as magaldrate can affect phosphorus absorption and contribute to the formation of deposits in the brain.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with kidney disease, as prolonged use of this medication can alter electrolyte balance. In addition, it is suggested to consult a doctor before use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It should not be used continuously without proper medical supervision.

Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
