Indications
Ribotripsin is indicated for the treatment of digestive disorders that require pancreatic enzyme supplementation. It is used in patients with pancreatic insufficiency, conditions such as cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, and pancreatic transplant. Ribotripsin administration can help improve nutrient digestion, thus promoting the absorption of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates in patients with impaired pancreatic function. Its use should be under medical supervision to determine the appropriate dosage and duration of treatment.
Composition
Each Ribotripsin tablet contains 18 mg of trypsin and chymotrypsin, along with excipients that facilitate its absorption and stability in the body.
Contraindications
Ribotripsin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components. Its use should also be avoided in cases of acute pancreatitis or during exacerbation episodes. In patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to pancreatic enzymes, its administration is not recommended.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, as well as in those with conditions that may alter intestinal absorption. Administration should be monitored in individuals with liver or kidney diseases, and follow-up is recommended to adjust the dose according to the patient's response to treatment.
