Indications
Repafet Pediatric Syrup is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal and ocular itching. It is also used for the relief of chronic idiopathic urticaria in children. Rupatadine, its active ingredient, acts as a histamine H1 receptor antagonist, which helps reduce the body's allergic response.
Composition
Each 1 ml of Repafet Pediatric Syrup contains 1 mg of Rupatadine. Excipients: Sorbitol, citric acid, sodium benzoate, purified water, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rupatadine or any of the excipients in the formulation. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in children under 2 years of age.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with moderate hepatic or renal disease. Combination with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants should be avoided, as it may enhance their sedative effects. It is important to evaluate the benefits and risks in patients with a history of seizures or conditions that may predispose to urinary retention.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
