Indications
Raamtol (Cilostazol) is indicated for the treatment of intermittent claudication in patients with peripheral arterial disease. This medication acts as a phosphodiesterase type 3 inhibitor, leading to vasodilation and improved blood flow. Its use is recommended in patients who experience leg pain when walking, which limits their physical activity and quality of life. It can also be used as part of a broader therapeutic regimen that includes lifestyle changes, such as regular exercise and modification of cardiovascular risk factors.
Composition
Each Raamtol tablet contains 100 mg of Cilostazol, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Cilostazol or any component of the formula. It should also be avoided in patients with congestive heart failure and in those with active bleeding or hemorrhagic diseases.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Raamtol to patients with a history of arrhythmias, liver or kidney disease, as well as in those who are taking other medications that may increase the risk of bleeding. Adequate monitoring during treatment is important, especially during the first few days of use.
