Indications

Prozeux (Propofol) is indicated for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia in adults and children. This medication is used in surgical and diagnostic procedures that require deep and controlled anesthesia. It can also be used for sedation of patients in intensive care units and during invasive procedures that require a decrease in the state of consciousness. Administration must be performed by a healthcare professional experienced in anesthesia techniques, who can adjust the dose according to the patient's needs and the type of procedure to be performed.

Composition

Each ampoule of Prozeux contains Propofol as the active ingredient in a concentration of 200 mg in 20 ml. In addition, the medication includes excipients necessary for its formulation, which allow for proper administration and stability of the product.

Contraindications

Prozeux is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Propofol or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with a history of severe adverse reactions to general anesthetics. Likewise, it is contraindicated in cases of significant cardiovascular or respiratory system dysfunction, as well as in uncorrected hypovolemic states.

Precautions

Caution is recommended when administering Prozeux to patients with pre-existing cardiovascular, respiratory, or neurological diseases. Special care should also be taken in elderly or debilitated patients, as they may require a dose adjustment. It is essential to constantly monitor the patient's vital signs during medication administration.

Storage

Prozeux should be stored at controlled room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Ampoules should not be used once they have been opened or if they show visible damage.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
