Indications

Progelben is indicated for the treatment of dry cough, as it acts as an antitussive. This medication is used to relieve cough not associated with sputum production, helping to reduce the sensation of itching and the cough reflex. Its use is recommended in cases of cough due to throat or respiratory tract irritations, such as those that may occur in colds or mild viral infections. It is important to note that the use of Progelben must be in accordance with the indications and doses prescribed by a doctor to avoid adverse effects.

Composition

Each Progelben capsule contains 100 mg of benzonatate, as the active ingredient. In addition, it may contain excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Progelben is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to benzonatate or any component of the formula. Likewise, its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other antitussives. Use in children under 10 years of age is not recommended due to the risk of serious adverse effects.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma or bronchitis, as the use of Progelben may mask symptoms that require medical attention. It is essential to follow medical instructions regarding the dose and duration of treatment, avoiding excessive use that could lead to adverse effects. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.

Storage

Store Progelben in its original container, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C), in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
