Indications
Proctoacid Ointment is indicated for the treatment of internal and external hemorrhoids. This product helps relieve symptoms associated with inflammation and pain in the anal region, providing a local anesthetic effect thanks to the presence of Cinchocaine. Additionally, Policresulen acts as a sclerosing agent, which contributes to the reduction of inflammation and improves the condition of the affected tissue. Its use is recommended in patients who present hemorrhoidal symptoms, as well as in those who require relief from the discomfort associated with this condition.
Composition
Each 100 grams of Proctoacid Ointment contains:
- Policresulen: 5 g
- Cinchocaine: 1 g
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in cases of bacterial or fungal infections in the anal region, as well as in patients with a history of adverse reactions to local anesthetics.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with cardiovascular diseases, as well as in those with a history of allergies. It is essential to follow the doctor's instructions and not exceed the recommended dose. In case of persistence of symptoms or the appearance of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a healthcare professional consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
