Indications
Pramigel is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with gastrointestinal disorders, such as dyspepsia, which includes discomfort and a feeling of fullness. This medication works by relieving nausea and vomiting, facilitating gastric emptying, and reducing gas formation. It is useful in cases of gastritis, and can be used to prevent nausea and vomiting induced by treatments such as chemotherapy. Additionally, Aluminum and Magnesium help neutralize stomach acidity, while Simethicone contributes to reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles, facilitating their elimination. Metoclopramide also improves intestinal transit.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Pramigel contains: Metoclopramide 6.6 g, Aluminum Hydroxide 3.7 g, Magnesium Hydroxide 4 g, and Simethicone 1 g.
Contraindications
Pramigel is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical intestinal obstruction, or gastrointestinal perforation. It should not be used in patients with pheochromocytoma or uncontrolled epilepsy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with kidney or liver disease, as well as in those with a history of depression or central nervous system disorders. It is important to evaluate its use in elderly patients and pregnant women, as Metoclopramide can cross the placental barrier.
