Indications
Perfalgan is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, as well as for the reduction of fever in adults and children. It is useful in cases of postoperative pain, dental pain, muscle pain, and inflammatory processes where pain relief is required. In addition, it is used in the management of fever in infections and febrile states. Its analgesic and antipyretic action is due to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system.
Composition
Each Perfalgan ampoule contains: Paracetamol 500 mg in injectable solution.
Contraindications
Perfalgan is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to paracetamol or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in cases of severe hepatic insufficiency and in patients with active liver diseases. Likewise, it should be avoided in those with a history of chronic alcoholism due to the risk of hepatotoxicity.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Perfalgan to patients with renal insufficiency, liver diseases, or those who consume alcohol. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose, as excessive use of paracetamol can result in liver toxicity. In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
Storage
Keep the product in its original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
