Indications

Penprocilina is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is especially effective in infections caused by penicillin-susceptible organisms. It is used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as in certain cases of syphilis. Benzylpenicillin is also used for prophylaxis of infections in patients with a history of rheumatic fever, as well as in the treatment of pneumococcal pneumonia and bacterial meningitis. It is important to perform a culture and sensitivity test before starting treatment to ensure the effectiveness of the antibiotic.

Composition

Each vial of Penprocilina contains 80,000 units of Procaine Benzylpenicillin and Benzylpenicillin in salt form. Excipients may include water for injection and other stabilizing components.

Contraindications

Penprocilina is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to penicillins or any other component of the formula. Its use should be avoided in those with a history of severe allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics. It is also contraindicated in cases of infections caused by penicillin-resistant organisms.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic diseases, asthma, or gastrointestinal diseases. It is important to monitor renal function, especially in patients with renal insufficiency. Storage
