Indications
Pemix is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, including functional dyspepsia, which manifests as discomfort or pain in the upper abdomen, early satiety, nausea, and vomiting. This medication acts as a prokinetic, improving intestinal transit and alleviating symptoms associated with gastrointestinal motility disorders. Additionally, Pemix can be used in cases of gastroparesis and for the prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapeutic treatments.
Composition
Each Pemix tablet contains: Cinitapride 1 mg as the active ingredient. Excipients: Lactose, starch, talc, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Pemix is not recommended for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to cinitapride or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is contraindicated in patients with intestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal perforation, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, and in those with a history of extrapyramidal disorders.
Precautions
Caution is important in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect gastrointestinal motility. It is recommended to evaluate the use of Pemix in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in geriatric patients, as they may be more susceptible to the adverse effects of the medication.
Storage
Store Pemix in its original container, in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
